Given the recent attention to hate-related incidents in Alberta, there is a significant need to document these incidents. The purpose of the StopHateAB.ca website is to fill this gap and create a space to document. Using our online form, users can document hate incidents, and can help build our heat map of documented hate incidents.

Beyond Hate

Beyond Hate is a community resource toolkit and workshop series designed to help communities address hate as it arises. It assists in identifying hate, what laws exist to address hate, and community response through action, education, prevention and partnership.

Hate Hurts

Hate Hurts is a diversity and anti-hate/bias education program for junior and senior high school students. It provides schools with the skill development, information and resources needed to support an environment that actively addresses issues of hate, bias and discrimination and fosters safe spaces. This workshop is a Calgary Police Service program supported across the province by the Alberta Hate Crimes Committee.

Alberta Hate Crimes Committee initiatives are made possible by the support of:

  • Alberta Justice and Solicitor General

  • Human Rights Education and Multiculturalism Fund
