#STOPHATEAB PROVINCIAL YOUTH FORUM

 

On April 22, 2015 we held our first youth forum with the goal of engaging youth on issues around victimization in hate crime through an intensive forum including keynotes, workshops and information sessions. Youth were connected to community organizations, police agencies and stakeholders. Workshops engaged youth in understanding the issues, developing skills to be active witnesses in crime, discuss underlying causes to hate crime and engaging in prevention dialogue and planning..

HATE CRIMES AWARENESS DAY

 

Alberta Hate Crime Awareness Day is sponsored by the Alberta Hate Crimes Committee (AHCC) and takes place as part of Alberta’s Annual Crime Prevention Week. Events take place in Edmonton, Calgary and Lethbridge.
